We don’t really make our chardonnay in a creamery, but it is plenty creamy, and toasty, too! Not to mention rich, lush and delicious. Fermented entirely in barrel, Creamery Chardonnay boasts seductive aromas of buttery, ripe golden fruit and full-bodied, lush flavors that glide across the palate into a long, smooth finish. Enjoy the cream of the crop!
WINEMAKING
100% barrel fermented, 100% malolactic fermentation. 7 months barrel aging in 60% American / 40% French oak
TASTING NOTES
This Chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented to create a rich wine exhibiting a classic profile of tropical fruit and Bosc pear alongside warm oak aromatics. The luscious palate suggests crème brulée and buttered toast, and finishes with fresh acidity.

Maceration on skins 10-14 days. Age on French oak staves for 12 months.

MEET THE WINEMAKING
With over 35 vintages under his belt, Mark is Sr Vice President of Winemaking and oversees all winemaking and cellar operations. He began his career in 1977 with Pacific Land and Viticulture and then went on to Sebastiani where he became the Director of Winemaking. Mark even started his own company in 1986, Global Vin and Beverage, where he was instrumental in the launch of the Vinterra and Viansa wine brands. He holds his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and a graduate degree in Food and Science/Enology from Fresno State University. He loves to travel and, when it comes to wine, he’s seen it all!
Mark Rasmussen
Steven Decosta leads a team of talented young winemakers who focus on creating wines with character that come from premier appellations and fruit. Working to ensure the highest level of winemaking standards are met, he also oversees research and development and introduces new technology that’s implemented across the winery. Steven uses his foundation of chemistry and microbiology to create wines with a varietal focus of aromatics and flavors that consumers will enjoy. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Enology from California State Fresno. When Steven is not in the vineyard or production facility, you can find him traveling, cooking or reading philosophy.
